Pantone Plus modernize the way Adobe applications use spot colors from colo=
r book manufacturers. Adobe Illustrator, along with InDesign and Photoshop,=
 uses the Pantone Plus Series of color books. Pantone Plus includes the PMS=
 colors, replacing the earlier Pantone Matching System.

To define spot colors using Lab values, choose Spot Colors from the Swatche=
s panel (Window > Swatches), select Use Lab values specified by the book ma=
nufacturer, then click OK.

With the Pantone Plus Series, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop CS6 and =
CC all contain the color libraries from Pantone, enabling seamless exchange=
 of book colors from one app to the other. And because the spot colors use =
Lab values, the visible results are much closer to the real inks available.=
 Using Lab values for spot colors also reduces the difference of appearance=
 between the Normal and Overprint Preview viewing modes.

For each profile, choose Spot Colors from the Swatches panel (Window > Swat=
ches), select Use CMYK values from the manufacturer's process books, then c=
lick OK.


In Illustrator CS5 and earlier versions, which included the older versions =
of the Pantone color books, most spot colors from Pantone had two definitio=
ns: Lab and CMYK. In addition, the default setting in the Spot Color Option=
s dialog box was CMYK. CMYK values took priority over Lab values. The spot =
color added to the document usually came with CMYK values.

PSD and TIFF files that contain spot channels from color books retain a lin=
k to the color book. When you place-link such files in an Illustrator CS6 o=
r CC document, the system searches for the color information for spot chann=
els in the installed Pantone Plus color books. If an identically named colo=
r is found in any of the available spot color books, the system fetches it =
and links to the file or opens the legacy file. (This process is also true =
for opening legacy ai/eps/pdf/indd files that contain links to such PSDs or=
 TIFFs.) During this process, there can be a slight difference in how the c=
olor appears (compared to Illustrator CS5 or earlier). There are two possib=

Saba is a polyester/polyester core spun. With core spun threads, the single=
 yarns consist of a continuous filament core surrounded by fine fibres. In =
sewing thread production, this finished hank is called core yarn. Like spun=
 threads, core spun threads have a smooth and textile surface. Thanks to th=
e combination of continuous filament core and spun cover, core spun threads=
 are extremely high performing. Core spun threads display an outstanding se=
wability and this provides for trouble-free processing, even in difficult a=
pplications such as multidirectional sewing operations and buttonholes in t=
hin fabrics. Therefore, core spun threads are well suited for a huge spectr=
e of applications.

Some manufacturers specify Pantone colors as touch up for their products, b=
ut Pantone does not work well as a proxy for a touch-up solution (for a lit=
any of reasons such as it doesn't include sheen and Pantone color tolerance=
s are not tight enough for touch up). When we match Pantone colors we are m=

Harlequin is a color described as being located between green and yellow (c=
