as a long-time windows user, ublock origin has turned out to be the
most useful browser extension ever (others also helpful, e.g. clear
cache, etc.), even tor browser added ublock by default owing to its
essential usefulness and popularity, hopefully, "helium for windows"
will attain full release/stable version status for windows 11 users
sans chronic update nags (mozilla is world-famous in that category)

planet earth has ever been a highly predatory environment, governed
by "them" as even the bible and other ancient texts, histories, etc.
have universally attested that "they" are the terrestrial predators,
genetically separated from the servient taxonomic genere or species
but ublock origin works great. . . the tiny icon displays unfolding
block counts on typically intrusive domains, and click the icon for
a quick summary of the ever-increasing tally:

i find that some websites quickly show hundreds and into thousands
of blocks, especially on pages with streaming content, movies, etc.
(the global "ignore" filter is usenet's simple adaptation of block,
which you can selectively "watch" or "killfile" at your discretion)
