I froze at "put <whatever> into Google".

My maid asked me to examine her "smart" phone, because it was eating
up the battery. I found Google had turned on the microphone and was
recording everything since Feb 2025(I asked her, she didn't even know
it was recording).

Thanks to Lula, the anti-social media kooks have to declare what they
collect. Well, a 20 page document said basically "everything". And it
recorded even with the phone turned off. Plus it took photos at random
intervals of her and friends.
 Of interest (to the kooks)were: contacts, things thinking of
buying/bought, opinion on things bought, salary, bank balance, places
visited(with GPS), name of friends, diseases, political opinions,
sexual preferences, the list just goes on and on. Most important, she
apparently allowed them to "monetise" the data, AKA sell it. It's not
anonymous, not with photos.

It makes 1984 look like a happy ever after fairy tale.
And Pooh sugested I feed them? LOL.

Vim, any day. Stallman is quite crazy for using emacs. That and not
taking a bath(maybe he licks himself like a cat?) are his only
defects.
