Yes indeed. I have Linux Mint as an alternative to Windows, so when too 
few browsers and websites work with 8.1, I might abandon it for web 
access, but maybe continue to use its Office programs which seem to have 
more features than Libre Office. It also contains Oracle VM virtual box, 
into which I have installed Win98, mainly for playing original Scrabble.
