You could try downloading the same from another computer and/or
under a different OS and/or a VPN and checking the SHA or md5sum
for the entire download or individual files.

BTW at least for the youtube downloader, I found I could get 
download links for the various versions by inserting 
"expanded_assets" into the URL before the release date, e.g.

github.com/ytdl-org/ytdl-nightly/releases/expanded_assets/2025.09.29
