Dumb.

"programming / software" jobs are down. Design, service, integration,
implementation and other skills (Storage, networking, SAN, power / HVAC
etc...) are not. Selling like hotcakes. Technology goes in cycles, it
will change every couple years.

Consider this.

Someone has to design and build computers. It doesn't all come from HP,
HPE, Dell, Lenovo etc. IBM wants out of the hardware business and purely
into cloud for example. Since they haven't been designing and producing
any hardware of relevance for years - just using rebadged stuff, that's
probably a good thing because outrageous IBM costs and licensing
disappear. It's a strategic mistake on their part because one bad event
(haXored) will kill them off like the dinosaurs. That's one of the
reasons they got rid of Kyndryl.

Incompetent Indian technology companies.

American companies are stabbing American technology workers in the back by
using off shore trash - who is in turn - supported by American
technologists working at lower salaries than they should receive for the
time they put in.

The Indian scum are also stealing American business data and reselling it
to data brokers.

The Indian scum are trying to use AI, which is laughable since they are
largely incompetent in the first place. AI, which is well over 50% wrong
in most cases, simply amplifies their ineptitude.

AI just happens to be the current fad and it's failing just like any other
new emergence.

AI can't fix itsself. As far as AI is concerned, it's always right. Over
time it requires analysis, decluttering and optimization, something it
can't do itself since it really has zero sense of self-analysis. That
kind of work requires expertise and experience far beyond someone who just
graduated from college.

A technologist has to sense and pick their path. In most cases they are
going to reinvent themselves every 4-5 years and choose another direction
to pursue.

AI can be useful, but it has limits and always will.
