I have one where I tried replacing the hd with an ssd drive. The ssd generated a lot more heat than the hd, and with the design of that laptop's case, it couldn't handle it. Had to switch that laptop back to it's slow, lower heat, hd. On the rest of my systems they now only use ssd drives, with the exception of a large hd used for backups.
