I would prefer a product that has a separate barrel
input connector for the DC power the product needs.
The structure above is Wired-OR input power.

There is actually a small problem with KVMs, in that
the safety-ground on the two computers, could be
at different potentials, and then you'd have to
figure out what to do about the grounding issues.
I've never had a problem at home here with this,
but did have problems at work (very large building).
