You need to take it easy. A damaged back can cripple you for life. I 
have not seen anybody recovering from damaged back. It's very difficult 
to treat.

Just do some light stretch up exercise routines in the morning and in 
the evening. Also ask your local hospital if they have physio classes 
for patients. Depending on your age they might arrange something for you.
