	I suppose so. If all you need is a command line
compiler/curses type IDE you don't need to install Lazarus.
	
	My dist's Lazarus is way out of date(using Devuan), the latest
Lazarus from SourceForge conflicted with that install so I had to
purge all traces of it to install the current version..

	As long as you don't use any OS specific commands in your code
(like "copy", "move", "fc" etc it should work fine.
