You don't want to repeat yourself many times on multiple newsgroups when 
you are asking the same question, and all the answers regardless of 
which newsgroup the replier subscribes to will be visible for everyone 
and you will get less duplicate answers.

This don't mean you should always crosspost and when you do you shall 
only include relevant newsgroups, for example if you have a microsoft 
windows related question, you don't add unix or macos newsgroups to the 
thread.


Also when you use a real client, the client will be so nice and cut of 
footers (they check for a row that contains only '-- ' and removes it 
and all the lines below, in according to how you are supposed to do when 
you reply.

Sadly you just let footers be in your replies, make the reply look bad, 
waste of space, but then I know microsoft users do not care much about 
rules and tradition, so I don't expect to see any changes.
