If you read the error, it clearly tells you that you are missing a 500 view template in your template directory. I'm not sure what your directory structure you have, but place a 500.handlebars file in the same directory the 404.handlebars file is. Should be somewhere in the views/ or views/layouts directory.

I just start learning NodeJS and seems amazing to me. Anyway, I'm facing a weird issue about the view rendering. Essentially I want use the MVC pattern, so I organized my project in the following way:


Being an extensible enterprise business application platform, you can of course get a developer to write some JavaScript to change the default behaviour of the lookups that bother you. As for me personally, I always like to explore if there are no-code ways that would allow me to achieve a similar result without adding even a few lines of script into the environment for the future me / someone else to manage.


To give Microsoft some credit on the UX front, they have invested in developing a new Advanced Lookup feature that gives the end-users more filtering options to find the right record to link to. Opening up this modal dialog also gives us a way to examine why the previews behave the way they do.






Another +1 to add the ability to place lookup fields on forms. In my case, I'd just like to display contextual data (that is stored in a lookup field) that would help the user make the correct selections when filling out the form. It seems crazy that this is not possible out-of-the-box.


In a custom application, I have a field that references the company table. I want to be able to change the view of the list that pops up when a user performs a lookup (aka, clicks on the magnifying glass icon), but only for this specific form.






I understand that I can right click > configure > configure list layout in the popup if I want to change this, but 1) that view is in global, and I'm working in a scoped app, and 2) as I understand, changing the list layout this way would change it globally, for all fields that reference core_company.


I tried creating a new view (there was a button labeled "Create new view in your custom scope" when I tried to configure the list view), but that didn't seem to do anything - I suspect that I created a new view, but somehow need to tell ServiceNow to use this view instead of the default view.


The key to looking up a record quickly is context. This context is expressed by Power Apps Makers configuring a lookup field with filters to refine the data and views to display necessary columns. With advanced lookup, you can apply all of the available filters easily to search for, explore and select records to populate a lookup field.


Advanced lookup offers an immersive lookup experience, so you can view all columns of a view to identify the right record to select. The columns can also be sorted on, to view records in the order you prefer.


Special lookups like party lists support looking up multiple records across multiple tables. With advanced lookup, you can add select more records or unselect records and populate it with fewer clicks and cleaner layout.


Administrators can enable the advanced lookup experience through a feature setting in Power Platform Admin Center. Advanced lookup will be enabled by default for all environments with 2021 release wave 2.


Example aggregation, which works in acceptable way (2seconds) but points to raw collection instead of the view, this aggregation basically takes all steps from the view but without sort as a lookup pipeline:


My WAG from things I've read or heard on podcasts: In preview mode your views (perhaps whole app) are built as a type of dynamic library which is then injected into the preview app running on a special background simulator. This enables "runtime" code replacement in the preview as you change your code. However, due to this, you may encounter issues like those you describe here, as the special type shadowing behavior you get proper targets (where your types can shadow imported types without errors) isn't available in the special mode they build the previews with. They either need to add functionality to the compiler to enable this behavior even in the preview builds, or use the current build artifacts to build the previews. Who knows which is easier or more likely.


We know that we can display multiple column in the dynamics 365 lookup view but there is a limitation that you can only display maximum three column in the lookup view, though we can add multiple columns in the lookup view but you can see only first three columns in the lookup view. This is a limitation in Dynamics 365, Microsoft mentioned here.


Now how to display more than three column value in the lookup. You might be thinking to create a field where if we can store concatenating multiple fields value with some separator and add the field in the lookup view. So now to do this you may need to go for workflow /plugin/JS which is additional work.


Why not we go for calculated field where we can concatenate multiple fields and add the calculated field in the lookup view. I did the same with calculated fields and now I can display more than one field value in my lookup view.


Get the names of the filtered views you created either from Dataverse or using the XRMToolbox tool from earlier. We want the Display Names. 

Now we create the variables to store these in, to lookup into FetchXML down the line.


Now I have a choice column on my form with options Asia, America, Europe, and All. So I build in these conditions and set the view names to them like this.

My Default View is just set to the default Active Airports View in my table that contains all records.

After running DNSLookupView, the main window is displayed, and you can press the 'Start DNS Tracing' toolbar button (or simply press the F5 key) to start capturing the DNS queries on your system.
