<div>I'm getting back into modding and discovered that a new mod manager has come out. I wanted to try it (I've used MO for the longest time) as I heard it had some nifty features, and I always had some problems here and there with MO.</div><div></div><div></div><div>I recently just got back into Skyrim and modding, and it has been years. Las to remember the mod manager was NMM (Nexus Mod Manager) but now there this me fangled contraption that is Vortex. It's pretty nice and easy to work with so far, but I am having issues getting SKSE64 working.</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>how to download skse64 with vortex</div><div></div><div>Download File: https://t.co/T0fkZEMOfK </div><div></div><div></div><div>I have skse64 installed and its in the sse launchers file. I start skyrim from vortex, on vortex it says skse64 is running but when my character loads ingame I get a bunch of game notifications telling me that skse64 isn't running. Because of this, alot of my mods will not work. Can anyone help? Im new to modding so im abit clueless.</div><div></div><div></div><div>I bought an external hard drive for gaming, specifically Skyrim (the only game I play for fun). I downloaded Skyrim SE with the anniversary edition on this drive (F drive). I also downloaded vortex on the F drive. A Vortex downloads folder and vortex mod staging folder auto populated in the F drive as well. I am now downloading the Alternate Start mod (already downloaded SKSE64). I booted the game through the SKSE64 launcher in Vortex. When the game boots, it goes through the vanilla opening. It does not start with the Alternate Start mod opening. I tested this out with several other mods and none of them load. If I open the start menu in the game and go under the Mods tab, it shows that Alternate Start is downloaded, but it just isn't loading, as well as all other mods. I am guessing something is wrong with my download and mod staging folder, but I have no clue.</div><div></div><div></div><div>So, I have done some reading. I don't have the plugins tab in Vortex. I looked up what could cause this. Under the Extensions tab in vortex, I see that the Gamebryos Plugin Management is failed. I read that installed Microsoft Visual Studio C++ could help. I downloaded the most recent one. Still, the Gambryos Plugin Management is "failed". No matter how many times I try to enable it and restart vortex. I do not have a Vortex Plugins tab.</div><div></div><div></div><div>I have also set up my antivirus to not block Vortex. I deactivated my windows defender. (I have windows 11). I also reinstalled Vortex, the newest version, from nexus mods, over the original location (which is my external hard drive, which I mentioned in this post above). Still, Gamebryos Plugin Managment is failed. No plugins tab. Occasionally, Bethesda archive check and gamebryos plugin indexlock are disabled, but after re-enabling them and restarting vortex, they are enabled again. I am unsure how to proceed.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Hello, kinda new to gaming pcs but I played skyrim on My friends pc and loved it I've been playing skyrim for years and I have a good amount of mods downloaded but I can't download skse with vortex, it gives me the option to download to my folder but not vortex itself, skse is also not showing up in my mods or plug-ins I don't really understand what I'm missing any help would be appreciated thank you</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>I was messing around having a giggle at throwing people thanks to the new mods. After this I sought out for more, as we all know since the birth of Skyrim, mod it until it crashes. I ended up downloading some odd 180+ mods and said full send it. Obviously, it crashed. So I started from the top and planned to work my way in groups making sure they would all like each other and work. Well that ended up never working as I could not load the basics. For some reason SKSEVR was causing the issue, I could launch the game and hear the basic into, the logo then black screen. I could hear ambient sound and the pause menu. I decided to do a clean install of both SKSEVR and Skyrim itself from steam, deleting the whole folder and everything that would associate with it. (btw vortex freaks out trying to deal with that and is stuck in an infinite loop of trying to delete it/install it)</div><div></div><div></div><div>After a clean install of Skyrim, SKSEVR AND Steam VR as I thought that might have been an issue, I was able to load into the vanilla Skyrim VR and then tried to get SKSEVR to work again. NOPE. It still has a major issue with the most basic mod to the game. Rather lost at what I can do, or is it just because Vortex is a piece of junk and I should just get a different mod manager and never try and play with Vortex. Installation was all done as instructed and made sure to watch multiple videos to make sure I was not being an idiot here.</div><div></div><div></div><div>If 2.0.20 presents any issues, use 2.0.17 from the silverlock "archived builds" page. 2.0.20 is considered stable but in some rare instances (most likely a conflict or interaction with a particular mod) a CTD could result. 2.0.17 is the stable fallback version of SKSE64 for 1.5.97 if you experience any issues with 2.0.20.</div><div></div><div></div><div>IMPORTANT NOTE: When you launch Skyrim with SKSE64 and SkyUI for the first time, be sure to allow all the menus in the MCM to register. This should take only a minute or two, but if for whatever reason registration is slow, you can type into the console: setstage SKI_ConfigManagerInstance 1</div><div></div><div></div><div>I am getting Error Code 1....</div><div></div><div>Either SKSE64 was not installed correctly, or the game was not started with skse64_loader.exe and Steam open in the background. Please read and follow the above steps carefully.</div><div></div><div></div><div>I am not seeing any changes in game for SkyUI...</div><div></div><div>Either SKSE64 was not installed correctly, or the game was not started with skse64_loader.exe and Steam open in the background. Please read and follow the above steps carefully.</div><div></div><div></div><div>I am getting errors about the wrong version of SKSE64 plugins...</div><div></div><div>You have installed a version of SKSE64 and/or one or more SKSE64 plugins that do not match your game version number. See STEP ONE above to discover your game version number, and then install the correct versions of the mods. To discover which plugins need fixing, open your skse64.log which can be found in \Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE\ and review any lines with errors. If the error is reporting SKSE64 is the incorrect version, please follow the above installation steps carefully.</div><div></div><div></div><div>For some context, I've been playing Skyrim SE using the windows store version because I get it free with gamepass. This version is too locked down to use mods like SKSE, so I've been going without them. Thing is, I really want to get silly, and that means SKSE.</div><div></div><div></div><div>I "downloaded" Skyrim Anniversary edition 1.642 and clicked on the option to manually point the game to a different install location. This worked (supposedly). Then I reinstalled all of my mods. This did not work, as files were being deleted left and right, and when the game started things were clearly broken. Yes, I was also launching using SKSE64. When I clicked on the mods option in the game itself it would not let me enable any of the mods I installed except for Diverse Dragons. Vortex was also throwing a fit about the included files that came with anniversary edition. Finally, when I started the game using the button in Vortex to do so, it started up the version from the microsoft store. I think this is why I wasn't able to mod the new version of the game; Vortex was still somehow attached to the MS store version.</div><div></div><div> df19127ead</div>
