My firewall is blocking all apps except a few I have whitelisted, so the 'adobe creative desktop.exe' (or whatever it was called) had no internet connection. So apparently there is a memory leak in the program retrying to connect to the net for long times.

Just the latest update for me has caused this to happen. Don't like it, one additional step when you login to close/minimize the creative cloud app. On-line tech support states it has never minimized. Well it had been for me in Windows 8.1.


You have to be out of your mind. And for the record, your link -install/kb/creative-cloud-install-stuck.html is improper. It refers to Creative Cloud desktop becoming stuck during an install or upgrade. The app is stuck upon opening, with no install or upgrade in the mix. It's unbelieveable how support here can't even read.
