Well, to your point, my PC started life in 2009 as something prior to
Windows 10 Pro (I don't remember if it was Vista or not at that time),
and it was continually upgraded for free since then until now.

It works fine.
It can't be upgraded to Windows 11.

But there's nothing on Windows 11 that is better than Windows 10 for me.

And worse, Windows 11 killed the concept of user-defined taskbar menus.

So Windows 11 is a downgrade from Windows 10 in the critical GUI space.

Nonetheless, there's really nothing in Windows 10 that isn't in Windows 7
Pro either, I would think. So I agree with you that it likely is just fine.

I wish I had taken advantage of the knowledge that there was a hack up
until recently that allowed us to get Windows 10 upgrades by hacking the
registry. I tried that hack, after they closed it, so it didn't work for
me.

Sigh.
Now I'd have to create an MSA, which isn't something I want to do.

But back to the main point of this thread. I'm testing what Microsoft will
do to entice the rest of us to get on board with their last year of update.
