WTF, root or not root?

Since when do we use 'administrator' instead of 'root' in linux?

Furthermore, in a related rant, what is it with more recent versions of 
file-managers that REFUSE to allow a user with *root* (and NOT 
administrative) privileges do anything that that user turned root may 
want to do exactly as if s/he were root at cLi level?

The whole 'pukism' reminds me of so called 'rights' which are really 
confiscated natural freedoms redistributed in packaged truncated retail 
fashion relabelled as 'rights'. Root, the thus far ONLY god in a 
computer, has absolute and total natural freedoms; this whole trend 
stinks of microsoftisms leading to "you can't do this, you can't do 
that, and you can't really do anything that 'we' (who is we?) don't 
think you should be able to do"?

Hang'em all inside their development cubicles but high enough for all to 
see.
