August, > Can you delete an empty folder? You can "md" and "rd" folders . You can create a file thru redirection and thru redirection also read from it. "dir", "del" and "attrib" (the other few that I have tested) throw an error. In a program using a volume guid as argument to FindFirstFile (kernel32) works. Yep, its a bit of a mess.
