I just renamed an entry, and was suprised that F5 worked.

That is, until I thought of dragging one item around and dropping it at the
same place it came from - than it jumped to a new, out of order place, and 
no F5-ing or closing the folder and re-opening it would make it go anywhere 
else.

And now renaming another item and pressing F5 again doesn't do anything
anymore (other than moving the view to the very first item)

Yep, its odd.  :-|
