[/quote] Are you *sure* that the result is again a relative path (to the target), and not an absolute path as it normally contains ? As the shortcut-creating program doesn't seem to work for me, can you check ? The thing is, if the standard resolving by the OS of a relative shortcut created by that program results in a shortcut with absolute paths again than its no good for me* - it has to /stay/ relative. * and I don't need to put effort into finding such a program for my OS or trying to generate such a shortcut file myself.
