Paul, > If you take a math course, you're taught it is as Ellis explains. Good for Ellis I suppose. How does that help me, having googled and found that different professions use those different names as they bloody wel please ? Also, in my very first posy I included "where ln(...) is log(...) / log(10)", indicating that I already had the idea that "ln()" *PROBABLY* was the natural logarithm, and how to get it using the standard base-10 log(). I ALREADY TRIED THAT, and still didn't get the expected result. A few posts back I've provided the origional formule, the replacements I had to make ( "ln()" and "sec()" ) and gave several intermediate results. *Please* put that formule into whatever you want to use and see where the intermediate results differ from mine - so I know were the problem is and can try to fix it.
