Are Epson EcoTank inkjet printers and softwares better than HP's inkjets?

#What would you like to accomplish?
Looking for an all-in-one color heavy duty printer for almost daily usage mostly from web sites and documents. Once in a while scanning and faxing from a MacBook Pro, Windows 10, and Linux/Debian. Both Windows and Linux/Debian do NOT have wireless network so it will have to be done with USB cables. Network cable is OK, but a hassle due to lack of network ports with Netgear Orbi router.

Printing frequency: Almost daily.
Pages per minute: Don't care. Printers are usually fast these days anyways.
Page size: Mostly letter (8.5"x11") sized.
Device printing from: All (Windows, macOS, and Linux!
Connection type: All (Wifi, Ethernet, & USB)

#Any other details:
I don't do online stuff with printers like its services. HP ink cartridges are expensive and little for almost daily printings. I used OfficeJet Pros (inkjet) like 8028e and Officejet Pro 8600 Plus. I used to have an Epson Stylus Color 880 Inkjet Printer, and it hogged ink cartridges and cleaning too much too. :( Or maybe go laser like in https://www.costco.com/hp-laserjet-pro-m283cdw-wireless-color-printer.product.100652793.html, but it's from HP. Not many choices in the local warehouse. :(

Or maybe something better from Costco online since they do let me return into its warehouse like Brother brand?
