The frequency of nVidia driver updates generally coincide with a brand new game 
being released and running like garbage. If your system is stable and runs the things
you need, I wouldn't find a reason to convince my self to update drivers 'just because'

If it weren't for their GeForce Experience software I wouldn't have even known how often
they release driver updates. It was until COD Warzone came out that I realized how much
they tune based off of one game's release.

If I were you I'd ignore the driver updates unless you run into legitimate problems. One of
my systems runs a 780 GTX and It's been fine without modern driver updates
