Looking to move from chrome. Sure I can wait until 2024 when manifest v3 will actually be an issue but I'd rather just do it now instead of getting more and more rooted into chrome. Built-in adblockers seem to be the way since most of these will not be affected by manifest v3. Being able to sync things like passwords and history between my phone and desktop is huge for me, this was the main reason why I never switched to brave back when it was new (but maybe it has the syncing I want now?). I will test any and all browsers that fit this criteria (benchmarks, etc) and can post back the results here later if anyone is interested. Chromium based browsers are fine.

I've been using Firefox since years but since my phone started to show it's age with it's crappy CPU, it started to drive me crazy. It gets buggy, it doesn't let me download images from Google, it lags like hell etc. I am looking for a new browser for my Android phone. I considered Chrome but I think It doesn't support extensions so no adblocks. What would you guys suggest?

Hi. Rebecca_McGrath. From my point of view, it seems that not all functions in the PC browser are in the Android app. For work, I use Asana most of the time on an 10" or larger Android tab. It would be nice to be able to use Asana as a browser on the Galaxy Tab. Can I ask to check once?

The web browser is an application that provides access to the web server, transmits network requests to URLs, obtains resources, and interactively displays them. Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer, and Opera are some of the most widely-used web browsers currently available.

In this instance, cross browser compatibility testing ensures that no consumer is left behind or has a negative experience. Despite the market dominance of browsers like Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, there are still individuals who use older versions of these browsers or other browsers. However, their numbers are too large to be disregarded. Not all browsers and devices utilize the same settings; browser compatibility issues arise to varying degrees. This difference is the reason why a lack of application homogeneity may be observed across browsers and devices. You would prefer that all prospective users have access to the functionality of the application.

This is why browser compatibility testing is essential. If your website is not tested and debugged on multiple platforms and browsers, it will not function identically across all of them, causing user frustration and negatively impacting your business.

Android remained the most popular operating system in the globe during June 2022-23, with a market share of 43.43% across all platforms and devices. This is followed by Windows and iOS at 28.79% and 17.63% respectively.

Given the variance in how various web browsers implement open web standards, web developers must conduct cross-browser testing to ensure compatibility. It is the only method that offers a consistent user experience across browsers and devices.

While Browser Market Share is a major factor in choosing which browsers to test on in 2023, other factors including application-specific features, target audience, and geographical constraints must be taken into account to ensure comprehensive cross-browser testing.

Teams can initiate cross-browser compatibility testing manually with a real device cloud based solution such as BrowserStack Live or with automation tools such as Selenium, which is relied upon by the vast majority of businesses in the automation testing industry.

Depending on the market share, it is necessary to conduct testing on both older and more recent versions of various browsers. Perhaps most importantly, testing must be conducted on actual devices, taking into account actual user conditions, for more reliable test results.

AI tools have become increasingly popular among people looking for productivity apps. Often these apps include significant limitations, such as requiring payment to use the AI service. Aria, however, is available in Opera mobile for Android and Desktop browsers for free.

I am looking for an Internet browser for android devices (e.g. smart phone, tablets etc.) that has a built-in "Stop loading" button, the same kind that you have in browsers for Windows OS, where you can press the button to stop a website from being loaded midstream. I have tried different android browsers. It seems that none of them has that function.

The browser interface looks great on any Android device, giving it a very sleek and, above all, functional look. In addition, you can easily zoom in by 'pinching the screen' and have multiple touch shortcuts to navigate in a way that is more comfortable than other browsers.

Thanks to the Opera Link service, you can synchronize your bookmarks, shortcuts and general options, and share them with your desktop and mobile terminal, which is useful for users who tend be on the move.

The application comes with automatic support for social networks like Twitter and Facebook. Thanks to this, they will be much faster to use. You may also download any files easily and store them in the terminal memory ready to access from a desktop later.

Opera Browser is a great alternative for browsing the Internet from an Android device, either on a mobile phone or a tablet. It has everything you need and is a joy to use, meaning you do not have to deal with many of the complications that often come hand in hand with mobile browsing.

For some Android ver. 7.0 device, Security Risk (Firefox) or Connection Not Secured (Chrome) or Connection is not private (Edge) warning are displayed when browsing all websites running on one webserver. Strangely, on other devices (Windows Desktop, iPhone) these sites run perfect without any warning. Please have a look at www.ashiro.ca

Let's Encrypt provides this chain by default to all subscribers, but IIS servers build their own chain and will usually build a different chain that equals the "short" chain. The short chain is not compatible with Android Thirdly, is DST Root CA X3 expired globally on Sep 30, 2021 for all servers and browsers?

If answer is yes then there would be some updates/fixes available for Windows IIS to accept long chain after expiry. Any comments on this?

SNI is not a feature that can be turned on or off at will. SNI means Server Name Indication. Its a mechanism used by TLS to indicate what server the clients intends to connect to. It is a necessary mechanism for all systems that host multiple websites behind the same server. Without SNI, the server has no idea which certificate to send (because it has multiple for different hosts). The only way to work without SNI is to either have one certificate for all websites (e.g many wildcards in the same certificate) or to use a dedicated IP for each single website.

Followed instructions mentioned in the article and downloaded ISRG Root X1.der and installed certificate with default settings and rebooted. It looks like problem is fixed for Android 7.0.

However few strange things were observed.

In first attempt of ISRG Root X1 certificate installation, it did not fixed the problem so made two more attempts, rebooted and started seeing changes on few sites.

There are two sets of certificates for each site. One set certificate name begins with [IIS] and another set certificate name begins with [Manual]. All sites are now assigned certificates whose name begins with [Manual] I guess certificates starting with [IIS] should now be removed to keep certificate list organized. What do you think. Is this good idea?
