When I used to use Atom it had this package called zen mode that when activated would enable full screen and center the text so that you focus solely on typing. I use a wide screen monitor for my computer setup so I have to move my head a bit to the left to be able to do my work. Any help in regards to this matter will be much appreciated.

update 1: I found two packages one called focus mode that is no longer being maintained and one called zen mode. Both options looked good but did not indicate whether it centers the text which is what I really need.

Update 4: I was recommended darkroom-mode, I downloaded the package from MELPA but when I try to M-x darkroom-mode emacs does not accept it as a valid command. I followed the home page instructions It's also important to not that my emacs configuration disables the scroll bar, menu bar, and enables transparency so I am not sure if any of those commands will interfere with darkroom-mode. Here is my configuration

Solution: The problem has been solved for anybody lurking here for the solution there are actually two good options for have a focus mode in Emacs. The two options are darkroom and writeroom. Both of these options center the text and removes distractions. If you want something simple then go with darkroom, if you want customization options then go for writemode. Both of these options are available through MELPA, writemode only required that you install the package while darkroom required to install it and input (require 'darkroom) into your config file. Thank you everyone for your help this problem is solved.

The sales accelerator experience is a great way to get a prioritized list of customers and an optimized workspace. It is a modern view that enables seamless navigation across records with activities associated without multiple context switches.

With this update, sellers can switch any sales view to focused mode to effectively work across their records regardless of whether they have a scheduled activity. This view is ideal for sellers who move across records quickly and need to conduct actions like prospecting calls, record updates, and action management.

Hi everyone, I'm at my last rope here and need help. I'm trying to automate toggling of focus mode depending on the notification title from an app called TimeTune (basically it's my scheduling app). The only thing I can't figure out is how to toggle Focus Mode. I can't find an appropriate app service to accomplish this under Digital Wellbeing, and the ones I have tried return Security Exception failure in the log. Notably I can't find an app activity to toggle Focus Mode via gesture with nova launcher either.

 (Automatic AF):

[Single-shot AF] and [Continuous AF] are switched according to the movement of the subject. When the shutter button is pressed halfway down, the product locks the focus when it determines that the subject is motionless, or continues to focus when the subject is in motion. During continuous shooting, the product automatically shoots with Continuous AF from the second shot.

 (Continuous AF):

The product continues to focus while the shutter button is pressed and held halfway down. Use this when the subject is in motion. In [Continuous AF] mode, there is no beep when the camera focuses.

 (DMF):

You can make fine adjustments manually after performing auto focusing, letting you focus on a subject more quickly than when using the manual focus from the beginning. This is convenient in situations such as macro shooting.

One of the first things I'm trying to determine is what mode goes with what cueing sound. When you hit NVDA+space to switch modes, where and when you can switch them, one sound is a chime and the other is an electronic "cheep" of sorts. Which sound indicates which mode? I was expecting a verbal cue like "browse mode on" or "focus mode on" but that's not what I'm getting.

Also, I have a 52-page MS-Word document that's chock full of hyperlinks. When I'm in what I believe is browse mode and I hit NVDA+F7 I get the announcement regarding the Elements List, but no dialog box appears like it does if I'm trying the same thing in a webpage. I thought I would be able to get a set of links showing like I do if I'm in Chrome or Firefox looking at a webpage, but instead listing all the links within the document, but the dialog box never appears even though it's announced.

I can't get NVDA 2016.1 to respond to NVDA+Space to change modes in Libre Office Writer in Libre Office 5.1. I did get the "there's an update available" notification when I started Libre this morning but it's for a minor dot update, not major version update. I'll see if that changes anything once installed, but I doubt it.

When I click on the Focus Mode of a bar chart, the bar chart gets focused, which is fine. However, when I click on the back button and go back to the normal view, the other bar charts disappear looking like below.

Correct. I just tested it, if I scroll/zoom to 125%, the Focus mode icon to click on disappears, if I scroll/zoom to 110% or lower, it suddenly appears. These specific percentages may vary from screen to screen.

IntoDarkAndPaleSquares Yorygog, you can 'zoom' out on your browser via the following methods:

1) Press + hold CTRL, and with your mouse; scroll downward and it should in turn start zooming outward on your browser.

2) If using a laptop, you can do this via your trackpad with a pinching motion with two fingers to zoom in or out.

3) See screenshot, you can adjust the "zoom" level via your browser settings. This is an example using Google Chrome:

Adjusting the screen zoom is so easy to do that sometimes it inadvertently does it with an accidental pinch motion on your track pad or mouse scroll wheel, so it's worth double checking even if you haven't consciously changed any settings. Let us know if it doesn't work and we can escalate.

With drone focus mode set to auto and focus set to 5 >> all the scene is clear, no blur (the plane and the scenery behind it). Expected behaviour: the plane in the scene center is clear and the distant scene is blurred

With drone focus mode set to Manual and focus set to 5, all the scene is clear whatever is the plane distance. Expected behaviour: When moving the drone backward, the scene shall become totally blurred.

We have an issue with students changing their background to a custom wallpaper after upgrading to ios 17. Students are doing this through focus mode. I can't find any restrictions to block this. Is there any way around this or a solution?

I could swear I used to be able to use focus mode in the tag persopective to see all items from a project. However, now if I use focus mode in the tag view, I can no longer see all the available actions associated with the focused project. As far as I can tell I have my view settings set correctly (the problem occurs with the viewer set to all, or remaining). Have I missed something or is this a bug?

Throughout the courses we learn how to create visually stunning reports and dashboards, often built to match a companies branding, but when these are used in anger I often want to be able to focus in on a particular visual and show that in full screen mode during presentations.

However, as I am working in grids and have applied a background to a number of visualisations at once (using a shape) rather than individually, the white fonts that stand out on my reports are now completely useless and vanish as no background colour is shown. Is there a way to show a background colour whilst in focus mode, and if not, how are you guys getting around this as surely this is a pretty basic requirement?

I use the focus shift (focus stack, image stack) function on my Nikon D850 to sometimes capture sets of images. I noticed that in PIE (Photo Information Extractor) they have a field called "Focus Mode" and it shows values like "AF-C, AF-S, Manual", and when I capture a stack it's set to "Fshift".

When taking the typical (if there was such a thing) landscape shot i.e. maybe a leading line rock/boulder in the foreground, something in the mid ground lets say a lake and mountains in the background. What focus modes do people use?

I've tried focusing a third into the picture and then reposition the camera whilst on the tripod but this is quite a faff and awkward as you need to keep your finger on the shutter release once you're focused and move the camera back into position.

Why allow camera to 'decide' where to focus? Take control to assure the camera takes what you wish. Most camera 'focus facilities, focus button settings' etc are not too suitable for measured landscapes.

I would stay away from the focus and recompose method, it's not very practical especially when using a tripod. You came up with the solution yourself already. If you want to use autofocus, go for the flexible spot and place it on your subject. If there's no real subject, focus a third of the way in your image. Personally when I'm shooting landscapes on a tripod I just manual focus, this way I'm sure the lens is focussed where I want it to be and there's no variation in focus when doing multiple exposures.

Please take the time to read and most of all understand it and switch off the AF for most of the things you do except EyeAF for people and AF for action photography - for all non moving sujets AF is the 2nd worst you can do directly following not focussing

HDR and focus stacking are completely different things. HDR is stacking for dynamic range by changing the exposure between images. Focus stacking is stacking for, well, focus by changing the focus position between images.
