Lawmatics makes it easy to integrate your Clio account with Lawmatics. If your firm uses Clio for case management, this integration allows you to automatically sync matters from Lawmatics to Clio, eliminating any need for multiple data entry.

Once you select the Clio field and add the mapping, you will see it listed in your field mappings. Feel free to map any and all of your fields. This is a process that only needs to be done once, and then moving forward any time a matter is synced from Lawmatics to Clio, any data populated into your mapped fields will be synced automatically.

After you have mapped your fields, you are ready to sync a matter to Clio. There are two different ways to sync a matter from Lawmatics to Clio: Conversion and Sync to Case Management. Let's break down each of those.

After a matter has been synced from Lawmatics to Clio you will still be able to add files, documents, data, etc. to the matter in Lawmatics. Should you wish to have any of this new data sync to Clio, simply click the Sync button found at the top of any matter that has already been synced and the new information will populate to the matter in Clio.

The Outlook Add-in makes it even easier to sync all essential email activity directly to Clio without any disruptions to your workflow. Designed to provide you a faster experience without the middleman. The Add-In helps you to capture emails, attachments, and get to inbox zero securely.

I am a solo with no office staff. I have Quickbooks sync with Clio and my bank account. It is turning into a horror show. I won't go into details, but I cannot reconcile what comes into QB from the bank with what comes in from Clio. QB makes all sorts of assumptions about payments that I can't seem to override. I am thinking I need to hire a bookkeeper to solve the problems or have a bookkeeper just manually enter stuff from Clio and the bank in to QB, or maybe just have QB sync with Clio and manually enter stuff from my bank. Has anyone else had success/failure with the double synching? Is the idea of handling my own accounting a mirage?

To set up Dialpad in Clio Manage, go to Clio Manage and open Personal Settings > Apps > VoIP > Dialpad > Connect. Enter your Dialpad account credentials to sync both services.

To sync additional information over (such as the Date of Birth, Gender, etc.) you'll have to create custom fields in Clio to receive this info from DecisionVault. You can do this in Clio under Settings > Custom Fields here.

Note: In the DecisionVault questionnaires you have the option to include "Non-listed, specify ____" as a gender option. When it's time to sync to other tools the app will ask the attorney user to put in a binary choice, because several of the integrations require it.

For a matter that has not yet been synced with Clio - DecisionVault will first give you the option to link the matter to an existing one in Clio, by searching in your matters. Or you have the option to just let DecisionVault create a new matter in Clio.

After this - you get to the sync screen where you can link the matter and existing contacts in Clio. You can also choose if you want to rename the DV matter to match the name from Clio. After linking the contacts click "Link Matter and Contacts".

After linking the matter and contact, you will be able to select which contacts you want to sync over to Clio. You are able to update existing contacts or create new contacts in Clio. After selecting the contacts click "Start Sync".

Levitate will automatically pull contacts, key facts, and tags from Clio Manage. Data syncs nightly, keeping the data evergreen. Contact information includes first and last name, phone number, email address, preferred physical address, company name, Matters, and your custom fields. With the integration, tags will automatically update as you do things like add new clients or close cases, which will allow our Business Plus customers to trigger automations.

As always, WealthCounsel aims to meet the diverse needs of its users by enabling its new syncing feature to be customized. Users can specify which informational fields they want to sync: from names, addresses, and Social Security numbers, to legal matters. Information can be further tailored by creating custom fields in Clio (such as gender), which can then be populated in a Wealth Docx field. After your preferences have been saved, a sync event can be initiated. Before syncing is complete, changes can be accepted or denied, allowing Wealth Docx users to have full control over what information is brought over from Clio.

The history log acts like an audit trail, allowing users to see every syncing event that has taken place. This is useful for attorneys working in teams because the history log keeps track of what was synced, when, and by whom.

WealthCounsel will continue enhancing its integration and customization efforts throughout the rest of 2018. Future enhancements may include options for automatic syncing and two-way communication between Wealth Docx online and Clio. Wealth Docx users can also look forward to announcements of additional systems-specific integrations with other practice management software. In the meantime, the Wealth Docx API will be available later this quarter for Wealth Docx online users who would like to design and develop their own custom integration with nearly any cloud-based system.

Clio connections are global for your instance. This means that linking to Clio from one builder seat will also link any other builder seats on the Gavel account to Clio.

Note that end-users will never be able to access workflows containing Clio data. All new contacts, new matters, and custom fields will be synced with Gavel.

Any "free-look" PDFs from your ECF notices and any PDF you download from our PACER interface will get uploaded to Clio. You can decide which cases you want synced. You do not have to sync everything, but you can if you want.

Clio Manage is one of the largest case management systems used by lawyers. Hubspot already has a Clio Manage integration to sync all contacts from one to another, but attorneys only create a case once they are retained, not once they are contacted by a prospective client.

KKulbacki - we are integrating Clio for a client and we can sync contacts/companies, but adding new deals in hubspot aren't creating new matters in Clio, even with deal sync turned on. How do you handle this? Do you just have to create the matter in Clio and send to Hubspot instead? Seems a bit silly to have to work equally in both systems.

CSic Unfortunately there is no workaround. The Hubspot Clio integration is just a plain contact sync more or less, which doesn't make a lot of sense since there are a lot more inquiries than there are actual clients who sign up for legal services. I tried pretty hard to find a way to only sync a contact from Hubspot to Clio when a deal is won (looked at Zapier and other related services), but never found any that would do it - it really is an all or nothing sync at this time. Ultimately I wound up just deciding that it (adding a contact, company, and matter) has to be done manually within Clio after the deal is won in Hubspot.

Thanks KKulbacki. How deep did you dive into Zapier? What was the issue there? I read somewhere that Clio/Zapier connection worked, but it wasn't in regards to deal sync specifically. Thanks again, appreciate the collaboration. I'll keep you posted if we find something out as well!

I develop my own integration with Clio. We have a lot of customers which use Clio app. And what I want is to sync contacts with our app and have a real time knowledge about changes(create, delete, change) in contacts model. So we decided to use webhooks.

The issue is we can't recognize which webhook came from, which user made the changes. So my question is - is it possible to create some custom field like "clio_profile_id" to get a clio user id in it? You can see screentshot i've attached. A lot of fields, but no field to recognize a user.

Click the Add Person button to save.

The new name will immediately replace the phone number in the gUnify Panel Call History and Favorites tabs.

Important Note: When creating and editing contacts from within Clio and not within the gUnify call log window it is important to allow 12-24 hours for the nightly sync. You can also manually sync contacts via the gUnify menu found in the browser toolbar and choosing to Sync Contacts.

To add a phone number to an existing person or company, select the Update Existing Person button. and use the search bar to find the contact to add the number to. Click on the (+) plus sign to the right of the contact name to add.

Verify the contact information, and click the UPDATE button to save.

In a similar fashion, select Company, under the Select Option drop-down, to add Company or add the phone number to an Existing Company.

To log a call, click the Open call log window on any screen pop. The Call Log windows provide options to associate calls with a matter, adjust the rate of the call, and add note and tags.

If the number is recognized, the contact name will show in the left panel of the Call Log window. In cases where multiple matches to the phone number are found in Clio, the drop-down menu under Select a match allows the selection of a person prior to syncing with Clio.

Automatically sync Client and Matter data from Clio to NetDocuments, using any field available from Clio. GDSI has built a simple website, easily accessible to all Clio firms, enabling administrators to view sync logs, make mapping changes between Clio and NetDocuments, and view users of the system for licensed accounts. Our integration engine is quick and easy to set up (less than 15 minutes!) and is completely customizable.

The one-way sync can be a bit perplexing, but fear not, Clio syncs effortlessly with QuickBooks. When a client inputs an invoice, it automatically synchronizes and pushes it into QuickBooks. However, there are cases where our clients make errors and adjust their entries, resulting in duplicate transactions. By staying on top of this, you can address any discrepancies and ensure accurate financial records.
