i have Windows 2016 Standard OS with installed MySQL 5.5.33.0.This morning I found out that the mysql server is not running and cannot be turned on. When i try to turn it on, it crashes immediately, and there is only exception information 0xc0000005 in Event Viewer. I can't even run mysqlcheck because it doesn't work when mysqld isn't running.

I wanted to try and see if i really couldn't install on a normal sata ssd. So i took out my old sata from my old computer and put that in. The machine booted into the windows installation on that drive.


That gave me an idea, and i put the m.2 drive into my old PC, installed Windows on it with no issue what so ever. Updated. Did some disk checks, and everything was fine. Then i moved the m.2 to the new computer. It booted into windows.

Since the hardware all passed, and it would install a different version of windows without trouble, I would suspect a problem with the Windows 8.1 x64 installation disk. IT may be a good idea to contact Microsoft about this issue.


I was trying to install a fresh copy of windows 8.1 x64 version on the laptop using a standalone Windows installation disk or dvd. I tried to install windows 8.1 x32 version and it was successfully installed on the laptop without any problem. But there is no driver available for x32 version for the above mentioned laptop model on HP website, only x64 version drivers are available. Another thing is, when I installed win 8.1 x32 version, only 2.45 gb RAM was usable out of 4 gb RAM. So I definitely need to install win 8.1 x64 version, because I have the drivers from the HP website.


there is a couple different ways i worked around this, the 1st is when doing an install delete all partitions of the hard drive , when it asks where you want to install it if that don't work , what i did was install Linux mint (free linux software very cool) after the full install (about 15mins) than reboot with windows disk in, (tell it to boot from network f12 i think) , after it cant find network it'll ask if you want to boot from cd/dvd hit a button, boot from disk , delete partitions again and then install windows , KaBlam !


Windows update failed and has bricked my windows partition. I received the below error when I try to start the windows partition. There are a number of forums discussing this issue and I have followed the steps. The problem that I am having is that the windows startup disk i created with Bootcamp Assistant does not give me the option to repair or recover my system.
