But I also want to stay more on the keyboard outside of RStudio in adjacent tools, such as GitHub.com, Slack or my browser.

While I was hunting for more cheat sheets to decorate my office with, I noted these on GitHub, including, wherever possible, a decent PDF version, HTML and a shortcut for the shortcuts.

You can hide any worksheet to remove it from view. The data in hidden worksheets is not visible, but it can still be referenced from other worksheets and workbooks, and you can easily unhide hidden worksheets as needed.

By clicking the sheet tabs at the bottom of the Excel window, you can quickly select one or more sheets. To enter or edit data on several worksheets at the same time, you can group worksheets by selecting multiple sheets. You can also format or print a selection of sheets at the same time.

By keyboard: First, press F6 to activate the sheet tabs. Next, use the left or right arrow keys to select the sheet you want, then you can use Ctrl+Space to select that sheet. Repeat the arrow and Ctrl+Space steps to select additional sheets.

TIP: After choosing multiple sheets, [Group] appears in the title bar at the top of the worksheet. To cancel a selection of multiple worksheets in a workbook, click any unselected worksheet. If no unselected sheet is visible, right-click the tab of a selected sheet, and then click Ungroup Sheets on the shortcut menu.

Data that you copy or cut in grouped sheets cannot be pasted onto another sheet, because the size of the copy area includes all layers of the selected sheets (which is different from the paste area in a single sheet). It's important to ensure that only one sheet is selected before you copy or move data to another worksheet.

From the sheets listed along the bottom, select a sheet name to open it. Use the arrows just beside the All Sheets menu to scroll forward and backward through sheets to review ones that aren't currently visible.

We completed the challenge. Now we know that you should not reject pointing devices (mouse or touchpad) for complex tasks in spreadsheets. We hope that our blog post will help you with that and Coupler.io will help you automate data import for your project. Good luck with your data!

Would be great to toggle through drawing sheets without having to click on the icon for the sheet. Maybe CNTRL Page Up & Down like in excel. Currently there does not seem to be a command to map to a shortcut.

If you have a lot of sheets in your workbook, switching between them can be tedious. Instead of scrolling through all of the tabs, you can simply right-click the scroll arrows in the lower-left corner. This will lead to a pop-up window that lists all of your sheets, and you choose the one you want to go to.

When using Google Sheets in Firefox, it's impossible to access the Sheets menu shortcuts (e.g. typing Alt+D+R+S to open the advanced sorting dialog) because Firefox captures the Alt keystroke and doesn't pass it to the web app.

Of course, Chrome passes the Alt keystroke to Sheets just fine so the keyboard shortcuts work as expected. But I don't want to use Chrome or any other Chromium browsers.Has anyone found a workaround to this issue? (Hint: don't say use chrome)

Hi!

I know that there is a cheat sheet with shortcuts for the original version but has anyone compiled such a list for the MK2 version since there are some differences. The old manual had such a list. I could not find it for the MK2.

If anyone can share such a list that would be great!

Thank You

Piotr

Normally, when you open Excel, you can see all sheet tabs at the bottom of your workbook. But what if you don't want all of your worksheets to be there? Say, some sheets contain source data referenced by your formulas and you'd rather not show that data to other users. Fortunately, you can easily hide as many sheets as you like as long as at least one spreadsheet remains visible.

Hide sheets with a custom keyboard shortcutIf you want to be able to hide sheets with a single keystroke, use the following simple macro to hide selected sheets, and then assign a key combination of your choosing to execute the macro.

For example, you may choose to hide sheets with this shortcut: Ctrl + Shift + H

How to hide all worksheets but active sheet with VBAIn some situations, you may need to hide all worksheets except one. If your Excel file contains a reasonable number of sheets, it's no big deal to hide them manually using one of the methods described above. If you are bored with routines, you can automate the process with this macro:

That's it! All the worksheets except for the active (current) sheet are hidden at once.

How to hide the workbook windowAside from hiding specific worksheets, Excel also enables you to hide the entire workbook window. For this, you go to the View tab > Window group, and click the Hide button.
