Job Description

Responsibilities for a Database Engineer (MySQL):
•	Database Platform Engineering in the architecture, development and deployment of MySQL Database
•	Write/maintain OS level scripts for DB automation and application maintenance
•	Owning the design and architecture of cloud-based database
•	Defining and maturing database best practices
•	Investigating hard-to-pin-down problems, explain root causes and propose solutions

Required Skills as a Database Engineer (MySQL):
•	5+ years of experience building successful production software systems
•	3+ years of experience configuring database systems like Oracle or MySQL etc.
•	Ability to write Python Scripts
•	Experience managing database systems in a cloud
•	Experience debugging and optimizing data models
•	Experience with distributed event streaming platforms, especially Kafka
•	Experience creating architectures that scale with volume and are fault-tolerant
•	Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to adapt communication style to technical, non-technical, and executive audiences
•	Experience with AWS is a huge plus
