Stopping intrusions from MS and others

What is the easiest to use and simplest intrusion alert program I can
put on a windows 8 machine without installing MS security "updates"
which will alert me to RATs and other hack programs interfering with my
internet? I have a firewall but what I'm looking for is something that
says "hey someone is issuing commands somewhere on your machine and its
NOT YOU. Possible?
