Steps:

1) Highlight a newsgroup on the left, under your favorite server.
2) Do "Properties" on the newsgroup.
3) Tick "Select the newsgroup for offline use".
    Click "Download now".

    Note: Only do this on small private servers with limited
    event horizons. Some groups only have a thousand messages to
    download, and most of the messages have scrolled off the server.
    If you buy a block account on a big server, clicking that
    "Download now" will download a million messages... and
    you will be sorry you did that.

4) Highlight the newsgroup again, in the left pane.
5) Select "Search messages"
6) Set "Perform Search..." to Local System.
    This uses the fresh message set from step (3).
7) Now, the header type menu will have a lot of entries
    and you select "Body" and your other criterion to the right.
8) Click "Search" in the upper right corner.

On a small server, the event horizon is 2 days to 3 months.
You can't do "years and years" searches, like on a pay-server.
The pay server with the million messages on it, it will take
a while to transfer ten years worth.
