eBay item link colors?

Who on eBay decided that the color of unvisited item links should be black and the color of visited item links should be dark purple?!  It's difficult to see & recognize the difference between black & dark purple.  Can or can't they be changed to something that's much more reasonably visible, such as red & blue, respectively?  Please let it be known here, as we would appreciate it - thanks.
