No, at the moment I don't.  I don't even have an I.B.M. line printer to
print out any reports, sales, software engineering, or otherwise.

I'm trying my best to stay away from Linux these years, though it's hard
in terms of employment.  Employers really want to use these Linux
machines, so I just go with the flow.

I'm a generalist.  I've submitted a proposal to the S.Q.L. committee --
but got rejected -- and been written a lot of inner database code in the
form of PostgreSQL extensions.  I believe there is some of it on my
blog, but browsers tend to scream about no security, so I don't really
try to get people to read it until I've fixed it.  And I'm in no hurry.

I used to maintain the PostgreSQL extension for running Java inside the
database server.  I'm not sure I'll touch that code again, but I make no
promises to myself about that.

Professionally, I've never touched Windows servers.  Though I'm open to
write code running on some.

I'm not that interested in Oracle's database.  It's Postgres or SQLite
for me, when I get to choose.  Sometimes I'm willing to work on MariaDB.

Well, I'll consider it, but since they don't do OpenVMS anymore, I
hardly see the point of applying there.  I mean, there are social
considerations.  You stop selling a really great operating system I
like, so why should I apply to work for you?

On that note, I probably totally blew it with Google.  They tried to
recruit me some thirteen years ago, and since I wasn't interested in
any of their tech, the recruiter stopped talking to me.

Have you been recruited by Google?
