My neighbor had physical therapy and occupational therapy sessions last
week

She surprised me as she did quite well with all the theraband exercises

Except one where they loop it around your legs and you have to separate
your thighs against resistance

I remember when my mother did her exercises, she slayed but well she was
strong  and especially a bit stronger than most.her problem was more
balance so we did a lot of leg lifts at the counter

Still not too bad 

So another neighbor called me and asked me if i wanted some soup and she
offered the therapy neighbor  some

I said sure
So i walk over to drop it off 
And the neighbor  is lying flat on the floor

I am shocked 

She said she needed to go to the bathroom and started to get out of her
recliner but slid out of it like it was a sliding board and landed on the
floor

The next hour included her inability to get up on the toilet so she voided
on the floor, soiled her underwear

I had  to clean up 

We then slid her over to the stair case which is what she uses to lift
herself up

On the way she managed to slide thru dog poop so that required another
clean up and underwear change

Got her up and brought her the walker and got her back in the chair

Then i called her about an hour later 

No answer
Five minutes later, she calls back

She was on the floor again, slipped out of her chair again, stood herself
up but could not reach her walker 

So i had to get over there again and get her walker

So it sounds like she will solve this by buying a new recliner
