"You don't have to bother to promote the group or to post on topic, or to even write a proper charter with proper newsgroups file line in a proper newgroup message. I'll just create it." That's the message you just sent to Our Dear Proponent. >>You can do what you like, but you're not being helpful in any way. >You're as free to your opinion as I am to ignore it. In the part of the quote you excised, you already told the proponent that you had created the newsgroup. I hadn't even offered my opinion yet. Exactly how did you ignore my not-yet-offered opinion as you had ALREADY created the newsgroup? You don't get that you're jumping the gun here or WHY you are in the wrong? You aren't the proponent. He is. At least allow him the courtesy of maintaining control of his own proposal. There's always the chance that he'll fix the charter or short description and drop the false claim of justification. Maybe someone else will comment other than me, given that by tradition, there is a one-week comment period. Maybe he'll change the group name. Maybe he'll decide to wait till there's an actual product released into the marketplace that users can discuss.
