PROPOSAL: alt.comp.retro-computing

For consideration: alt.comp.retro-computing

CHARTER: alt.comp.retro-computing is to be a place where those using vintage
machines can share or discuss experiences relating to the use and modification
of depricated IT technologies in the modern age.

The newsgroup will not be moderated. Binary, off-topic, spam and
advertising posts are not permitted. Discussion of hacks, cracks, warez,
serial numbers or the illegal exchange of copyrighted software to be prohibited

JUSTIFICATION: The retro PC community has been growing exponentially, and there
is no group currently within the alt.*  or any other main USENET hierarchy,
which provides a forum specifically for discussing retro computing.

Numerous trade punlications and media sources confirm the growth and need for
such a community.
