Good queston, Nuno.

alt.folklore.computers is more about general geekery and more of a chat group
than a group specifically dedicated to hardware, software, and middleware.

I envision the proposed group, alt.comp.retro-computing to be a place where
people can post their builds and the issues they're running into with driver
conflics or installing applications, rather than a general discussion forum.
