When you post a message to a group where it is on-topic, the message gets seen and responded to by people who are more likely to understand and be interested in the contents of the message, and can give you better answers to any questions you have. When you post to the wrong group, they will be less interested in the message and less capable of giving good answers to it. However, if you're not interested in getting good answers to your questions, and it doesn't bother you that your messages are going to people not interested in the topic of your message, by all means post to any group you choose. This isn't a moderated group - no one can stop you from posting here.
