There's tons of those folks out there, in fact, they are the vast majority of "computer users". There's also a cohort of the younger ones who have only ever known "a computer" as their "cellphone" that do not even understand the concept of "files" or a hierarchical filesystem (because both phone operating systems go to great lengths to hide this little bit of computer education from their users). And, per your car analogy, sadly, a lot of folks buy a car based on "what they saw in an ad" or more commonly, "what was sitting on the dealer's lot the day they went to buy one".
