   About five years ago, OSuse decided it didn't need/support
   lots of those olde-tyme utilities. Had lots of pgms that
   ran those in the background to gather/parse the output for
   vital systems info. In short, they SCREWED me for no good
   reasons at all.

   What's next, remove 'ls' and 'ps' and 'df' because, well,
   who needs to know that kind of shit anyway ? Have to hand
   install to get 'ifconfig' now too.

   to plain Deb within a week. Can TELL when I'm being

   Now, recently, checking back - more and more weird little
   issues with OSuse.

   I've posted on this stuff, said what SHOULD work well

   So long as you stick to what Granny might do then maybe
   you're ok - the "Puppy" level.

   Sorry, it's OFF my list permanently now. So sad ! I can

   Stick with Deb now, pref MX. That "Just Works".

   Oh, and Synaptic thrashes the shit out of anybody
   else's package research/install GUI. WISH they'd
   port it to Arch/BSD.
