MAYbe he means a 'cartridge pocket revolver' kinda specifically ? A lot of those - Europe and beyond - were based on the .38-S&W/200 cartridge. Adequate. You can barely GET those in the USA anymore - and the .38 Spl is a smaller bullet and, even if the ctg is shortened, not really compatible.
