No, that what the rest of the world says. I was researching something else in the University of New Hampshire library when I saw a Talmud on a shelf. By that I mean it was the shelf. I don't know if it was the Babylonian or Jerusalem Talmud but there were over 20 volumes. Good luck reading it. From the little I managed to read it was legalistic wrangling by various rabbis on how to circumvent inconvenient mitzvah. A current day example is the prohibition on lighting a fire on the sabbath that the hyper-orthodox embrace. However yahweh didn't say anything about lighting a fire before the sabbath so turn the gas stove on and leave it going so you won't have to eat cold chow. Of course you may burn down a block in Williamsburg and kill a few people.
