This cause "little" pain, mostly with bad rc scripts conversion to systemd units and overall third party software hickups with systemd. And that's it. All other things was purely third party software bugs and AUR maintainer fuckups :). Just subscribe to Arch news (e.g. via RSS) and read them before updating. All neccessary manual actions will be there. And try to update your system at least once per week (I do it on saturdays with morning coffee). Actually, I was surprised how systemd was made so good comparing to another software from same author - PulseAudio :).
