Funny thing is that I never have any problems with nvidia graphics on 
Linux using proprietary drivers. NEVER. Running CUDA? No problems! 
Gaming with wine? Here we go! Native gaming! Lets ride!

I won't speak for power problems of course, still remembering my pain 
trying to get gtx460 working on full power, but it was solved by 
disabling powermizer. Even now there are some problems with power, 
sleep/resume...

Except Wayland, of course. Wayland and nVidia starts to work together 
very recently.

And moreover, I think laptops with intel+nvidia are best for Linux, 
because I never experienced much trouble running games on discrete card. 
On wayland it just works, on X11 I was launching games in another X 
session so composition pipeline won't ruing my input latency.

Everyone praises AMD, woohoo, open source drivers, so configurable... I 
have a desktop with 5700xt and it won't made things simplier - I have to 
specify VERY OWN RADV OPTIONS FOR ALMOST EVERYTHING TO WORK PROPERLY. 
Now that desktop gaming firmware (Windows :-D). And EVEN THERE videocard 
sometimes just get lost so I have to reinstall amd drivers... Nuts!

And yes, don't be confused with rpi working fine - they using specific 
chipset with specific radio, make BCM4313 work flawlessly :).
