The Dubliner sharp cheddar is nothing special as far as cheese goes but it 
tends to be slightly less expensive than the domestic nothing special 
cheddars and actually is sharp. I enjoy cheese and often buy other 
European brands -- while carefully adjusting my blinders to avoid seeing 
the price per pound. For that matter I just finished some domestic 
huckleberry Wensleydale that was not cheap. 

Note: not 'Yorkshire Wensleydale'. Despite its junkyard dog approach to IP 
the US has played rather fast and loose with trademarked terms before it 
was even a country.  Ripping off the Willow pattern made Britain 
especially irate. It may not have been the pattern but the temerity of the 
colonials making their own tableware.
