   USA - areas "vary". In a serious emergency helicopters
   MIGHT be free, or 'discount'. In other places you'll get
   big bill.

   Hey, the things are EXPENSIVE to operate !

   SOME kind of bill discourages everybody with a little
   ouchie from demanding helicopter service to the nearest
   high-level med facility. Yes, some WOULD demand that
   for a fuckin' hangnail.

   Me, I don't LIKE helicopters - I've looked them over
   in detail and can see how MANY ways they can fail
   in spectacular fashion. If at ALL possible, ground
   transport !

   Ah, did "The Nasty" today - replaced my MX that would
   not update anymore with an image a few weeks old. The
   results have been, well, 'variable'. For SOME reason

   I can't use my usual fstab line for mounting NFS shares.
   Crashes on boot. You get a text login, but it's not
   REALLY root and you can't fix fstab. Weird.

   The MX "custom install image" is pretty much a
   Good Thing. With that you don't have to re-install
   mass quantities of apps/libs/etc ... it's all as
   it was when you made the image.

   Now looking into how to do an in-place upgrade
   from BookWorm to Trixie. I know it CAN be done,
   but, again, often 'issues'.

   Never had great results doing a full version updates
   in Ubuntu. Had to keep like three terminals open so
   I could run fixes and more fixes before rebooting.
