Indeed. Freud is actually metaphysics.

Because it starts with 'lets assume' that people are absolutely 
dominated by their early relationships within their families.

Especially with men, their mothers.

And does the unconscious mind actually exist? If you delve deep 
enoughits a s slippery as God. And indeed there are grounds for saying 
that it IS god, at some deep level of cognition. The agency that forms 
the shape of the reality you experience.

But science? No way. It's hypotheses are impossible to prove or 
disprove. Its like 'critical race theory' It's a way to look at the 
world, a metaphysical notion, not one that can be upheld or refuted by 
any even handed tests.
