Back in the '90s when I was driving OTR I would have killed for one of those. Paper maps were good as far as they went. When you called the consignee and asked for local directions you hoped you weren't talking to a secretary who described the route she took with her Honda Civic. Cellphones would have been great too. Nothing like looking for a working payphone when you're driving a 65' long RV.
