   BASIC was perfectly OK. It was expanded quickly
   from what you got on the original IBM-PCs and
   COULD handle anything - though some things in
   a kinda clunky manner. With BASCOM yer BASIC
   would run REALLY fast.

   But moved to Turbo Pascal as soon as it came out.

   Don't know why people are SO eager to shit on
   BASIC however ......
