Syncro Soft, the developer of the Oxygen XML suite of products, is proud to=
 announce the immediate availability of version 22.1 of its industry-leadin=
g XML editing suite of products, Oxygen XML Editor, Author, Developer, Web =
Author, WebHelp, PDF Chemistry, and the Oxygen Publishing Engine. Oxygen Fe=
edback, the new comments management platform, made available for commercial=
 use a few months ago, is also updated to version 1.2.=20

New features and improvements added in Oxygen XML Editor/Author/Developer v=
ersion 22.1 include:=20
Improved productivity for DITA users with CTRL+click navigation on links an=
d topic references, automatic key generation for new topics, faster new map=
 creation, and making the DITA References view plugin discoverable with ins=
tallation-on-first-use.=20
Using CSS to customize the PDF output is used more and more, and the CSS-ba=
sed DITA to PDF output reflects this with many updates, including support f=
or change bars and the possibility to bring the changed content into sticky=
 annotation notes, support for using CSS to style embedded SVG, better hand=
ling of white space, hyphenation, and line wrapping, as well as improved er=
ror reporting to help you troubleshoot issues.=20
Copying content from the Author visual mode and pasting it into HTML or wor=
d processing documents will preserve similar HTML formatting whenever possi=
ble.=20
When working with documents, comparing files in the visual Author mode is a=
 huge productivity boost and usability improvement, and while this was avai=
lable in the standalone version, it was missing in the Eclipse plugin versi=
on. Not anymore! The visual diff and merge support can now also be used ins=
ide Eclipse.=20
The professional-grade JSON and HTML support was further improved, with a f=
ocus on the latter, extending the Schematron validation support to work on =
HTML documents, a new action allows you to make HTML as XML well-formed to =
enable further processing with XML tools, and you can format and indent spe=
cific HTML elements.
Sometimes a new functionality is introduced through plugins to allow for a =
faster development and immediate availability. To make these plugins easier=
 to discover and install, we implemented an install-on-first-use support. T=
he user interface that triggers the plugin looks as if the plugin is instal=
led, but when you try to use it, it will first trigger the plugin installat=
ion. This is the case for existing plugins such as the Git client, Batch co=
nverter, XSD to JSON Schema, and Oxygen Emmet Plugin, as well as for new pl=
ugins such as the Generate Java Classes from XSD or the DITA References Vie=
w.=20
Updated user interface and productivity improvements make the Results view =
dockable in any position for more flexible layouts, find/replace in files a=
lso presents matches in the visual Author mode, better search functionality=
 will understand adjacent words on separate lines, you can hide almost ever=
ything, including the editor tabs for a presentation mode. Also, an externa=
l MathML editor can be configured, allowing you to easily edit MathML with =
tools such as Libre Office.=20
New APIs allow for finding the names of pseudo-classes for elements, custom=
ization of the tooltip text when editing in Author mode, using the Author A=
PI directly on content without opening the content in the editor, running v=
alidation scenarios from custom Author actions, and contributions of new co=
de templates.=20
Many components were updated, including the DITA Open Toolkit, DITA Open To=
olkit Plugin for DITA-to-Word, Everit, Saxon, TEI Schemas and Stylesheets, =
Xerces, focheck, Log4j, Rhino, and XSpec.=20

rther improvements to many of those features, along with lots of brand new =
enhancements.=20
This version includes a new Outline pane that offers a quick way to navigat=
e through the document, gives you insight about the location of your modifi=
cations, shows the hierarchical dependencies between elements, and makes it=
 easy to visualize the XML structure. It is available by default for DocBoo=
k, TEI, and XHTML documents, but it is also possible to configure other fra=
meworks (such as DITA) to make it available for those particular types of d=
ocuments.=20
Other enhancements include optimized contextual menus for various component=
s (such as tables), Git sub-modules are now supported for all types of Git =
connectors, you can now control the font size in the editor, more customiza=
tion possibilities were added, and as usual, this release provides various =
API additions, bug fixes, and component updates.=20

output from HTML or XML documents simply by styling them with CSS.=20

 this version include the ability to control the repetition of table captio=
ns, you can style embedded SVG images using the same custom CSS associated =
with your main document, the handling of the overflow-wrap CSS property was=
 improved, and a new parameter is available for controlling what informatio=
n about tracked changes is shown in PDF annotations. The painting of change=
 bars was also greatly improved, removing duplicates and positioning.=20

Version 1.2 of Oxygen Feedback provides more improvements for the modern co=
mment management platform that provides a simple and efficient way for your=
 community to interact and offer feedback.=20
This version includes a new Dashboard page in the administration interface =
that aggregates information and statistics for all of your site configurati=
ons, provides an activity stream to see the most recent activity by your co=
mmunity, and various admin pages were improved to be even more user-friendl=
y.=20
A single-level of replies for comments simplifies the discussion threads an=
d an improved workflow allows you to see comments that need your attention =
and easily mark them as resolved.=20
The Feedback Comments plugin for Oxygen XML Editor/Author received new filt=
ering options and better support for locating the original DITA or XML sour=
ce files that correspond to particular comments added in the output, allowi=
ng you to easily update the content source in response to the users feedbac=
k, as well as to see and manage feedback directly from Oxygen XML Editor/Au=
