Syncro Soft announces the release of Version 22.1 for the Oxygen XML suite of products

Syncro Soft, the developer of the Oxygen XML suite of products, is proud to= announce the immediate availability of version 22.1 of its industry-leadin= g XML editing suite of products, Oxygen XML Editor, Author, Developer, Web = Author, WebHelp, PDF Chemistry, and the Oxygen Publishing Engine. Oxygen Fe= edback, the new comments management platform, made available for commercial= use a few months ago, is also updated to version 1.2.=20 New features and improvements added in Oxygen XML Editor/Author/Developer v= ersion 22.1 include:=20 Improved productivity for DITA users with CTRL+click navigation on links an= d topic references, automatic key generation for new topics, faster new map= creation, and making the DITA References view plugin discoverable with ins= tallation-on-first-use.=20 Using CSS to customize the PDF output is used more and more, and the CSS-ba= sed DITA to PDF output reflects this with many updates, including support f= or change bars and the possibility to bring the changed content into sticky= annotation notes, support for using CSS to style embedded SVG, better hand= ling of white space, hyphenation, and line wrapping, as well as improved er= ror reporting to help you troubleshoot issues.=20 Copying content from the Author visual mode and pasting it into HTML or wor= d processing documents will preserve similar HTML formatting whenever possi= ble.=20 When working with documents, comparing files in the visual Author mode is a= huge productivity boost and usability improvement, and while this was avai= lable in the standalone version, it was missing in the Eclipse plugin versi= on. Not anymore! The visual diff and merge support can now also be used ins= ide Eclipse.=20 The professional-grade JSON and HTML support was further improved, with a f= ocus on the latter, extending the Schematron validation support to work on = HTML documents, a new action allows you to make HTML as XML well-formed to = enable further processing with XML tools, and you can format and indent spe= cific HTML elements. Sometimes a new functionality is introduced through plugins to allow for a = faster development and immediate availability. To make these plugins easier= to discover and install, we implemented an install-on-first-use support. T= he user interface that triggers the plugin looks as if the plugin is instal= led, but when you try to use it, it will first trigger the plugin installat= ion. This is the case for existing plugins such as the Git client, Batch co= nverter, XSD to JSON Schema, and Oxygen Emmet Plugin, as well as for new pl= ugins such as the Generate Java Classes from XSD or the DITA References Vie= w.=20 Updated user interface and productivity improvements make the Results view = dockable in any position for more flexible layouts, find/replace in files a= lso presents matches in the visual Author mode, better search functionality= will understand adjacent words on separate lines, you can hide almost ever= ything, including the editor tabs for a presentation mode. Also, an externa= l MathML editor can be configured, allowing you to easily edit MathML with = tools such as Libre Office.=20 New APIs allow for finding the names of pseudo-classes for elements, custom= ization of the tooltip text when editing in Author mode, using the Author A= PI directly on content without opening the content in the editor, running v= alidation scenarios from custom Author actions, and contributions of new co= de templates.=20 Many components were updated, including the DITA Open Toolkit, DITA Open To= olkit Plugin for DITA-to-Word, Everit, Saxon, TEI Schemas and Stylesheets, = Xerces, focheck, Log4j, Rhino, and XSpec.=20 For more information, see: https://www.oxygenxml.com/xml_editor/whats_new.h= tml=20 Version 22.1.0 of the Oxygen XML Web Author expands upon the robust set of = new features and updates that were recently added in Version 22.0.0 with fu= rther improvements to many of those features, along with lots of brand new = enhancements.=20 This version includes a new Outline pane that offers a quick way to navigat= e through the document, gives you insight about the location of your modifi= cations, shows the hierarchical dependencies between elements, and makes it= easy to visualize the XML structure.
