You can buy little "dots" yourself from virtually any online store that
sells accessible devices to the blind and visually-impaired. They're
typically self-adhesive, and very simple to apply.

Either that, or with a razor blade, just score the 5 key so you can feel
the difference between that and the other keys on the phone.

Subject: [VICUG-L] Unuseable Dot on the 5 Key on the LGX5300 Cell Phone

Hello List,

I recently got an LGX5300 cell phone. I didn't notice at the store that
there is only a very slightly raised dot at the top of the 5 key. I
didn't think to check as I thought the dot in the center of the 5 key was
standard. This dot is too small to be useable for touch dialing. I don't
really want to upgrade to the 8300 but will if I need to do so in order to
get a useable dot on the 5 key. I assume these are made in bulk so all
LGX5300 cell phones have this same issue. Before I go back to the store
I was wondering if anyone else out there who has a 5300 phone has this
same issue? I'm hoping maybe just some phones have this problem and maybe
they'd have one at a different store that came from a different 'batch' of
phones. Thanks.

Sherry Wells
